1. Product Introduction

The 6301-RS is a single-row deep groove ball bearing measuring 12 × 37 × 12 mm, fitted on both sides with NBR rubber contact seals. The double-lip seal presses lightly against the inner ring land and closes the bearing completely, holding water, detergent, dust and fine slurry outside while keeping the factory grease inside. Rings and balls are made of GCr15 chrome bearing steel hardened to HRC 60-62 and ground to P5 (ABEC-5) precision, giving Z4 noise and V4 vibration running quality. For machines that are washed down, splash exposed or run in a wet floor environment, this sealed bearing keeps rotating smoothly for its whole grease life without any relubrication.

The typical application of the 6301-RS is the brush drive motor of a walk-behind floor scrubber. That motor sits low on the machine, only a few centimetres above a wet concrete floor, and works in a cloud of water, detergent foam and dirty slurry thrown up by the rotating brush. The rubber contact seals keep that mixture out of the raceway and keep the grease in, so the brush keeps its full torque and the motor does not seize after a few months of daily cleaning shifts. The same seal also absorbs the small axial float of the brush deck without letting water past, which is what a shield cannot do.

Further applications of the sealed version are car wash and pressure cleaning equipment, food industry wash-down conveyors, swimming pool and fountain pump shafts, agricultural sprayer pumps, outdoor gate and door operators and any drive that is exposed to splash water, steam or humid air.
