Kent Bearings once provided ZV3 grade sample bearings to a company that focuses on the development of robot motors. The company found that the efficiency of its new motors could not meet the design standards during the test process. It was suspected that there was a problem with the deep groove ball bearing at the front end of the motor, so it was fed back to us.

Through precision instrument testing, we found that the friction resistance of the motor bearing was too large, which led to increased motor energy consumption. After in-depth analysis of the reasons, it turned out that the manufacturer did not fully consider the working conditions of the motor's high-speed operation when selecting the bearing, resulting in insufficient lubrication performance of the deep groove ball bearings we provided, and unreasonable sealing structure, resulting in rapid loss of grease, and the bearing was in a dry friction state.

At the same time, the manufacturing accuracy of the bearing could not meet the rotation requirements of the motor at high speed. We customized a ZV4 grade deep groove ball bearing with a special lubrication coating and an efficient sealing structure, and optimized the clearance between the bearing and the shaft. After the transformation, the motor efficiency increased by 8%.
